With embroidery, your design is produced by stitching threads directly into the fabric. The stitching process is fully automatic and performed by a computerized embroidery machine. Handcraftique features machines with up to 15 needles per head. This means that your design can include up to 15 thread colours! The first process requires "digitizing" your design into an embroidery computer file that the embroidery machines can understand. Depending on the complexity of your design, this step might require specialized technicians to complete. The garments are manually “clamped” and loaded onto the machine for your design to be then stitched out onto the garments.

Purposes: Knitted shirts/sweaters, towels, hats, any fabrics with a texture etc., embroidery is generally the best choice. For corporate office uniforms or business shirts, embroidery is perceived as more prestigious and represents your brand as quality. Embroidered garments will generally last for many years, able to cope with over 250 washes.

Embroidery is typically suggested when:

You want a longer lasting option that wont fade

You have a smaller design

The garment/item is made of thicker fabric

You have a simple design with less details/colors

Heat Press printing, also known as heat transfer printing, is the process of applying heat-applied materials to various items (i.e., substrates) with a heat press. Heat-applied materials contain a heat-sensitive adhesive on one side; when heat is applied by a heat press to the material, the material adheres to the substrate to which it is being applied. The heat press materials are produced from a high-resolution art file and printed on a specialized printer. This artwork is easy to produce and can incorporate all printable colors, even photographs! Heat press printing is also able to print very fine detail.

Purpose: Heat pressing is best suited for garments that will be replaced more often or for a limited time purpose - like special occassions. T-shirts are more often heat pressed than embroidered. Besides garments or fabrics however, heat pressing also allows us to decorate more other types of items, such as bags, luggage tags, signs, glass, etc.

Heat Press Printing is typically suggested when:

Your design is complicated, detailed or many colors

Your design is large on the item

You have a lot of items to do in bulk

The item is a thinner fabric
